As one of Virginia’s oldest and largest wineries, we’ve been welcoming visitors for over 30 years. In fact, we were named one of the “Top 3 Virginia Wine Day Trip Destinations“ by Yahoo! Voices in 2012! We were also recommended as one of the best Virginia wineries for picnics by the editors of Touring & Tasting Magazine in 2012. (Read more reviews on our Press Mentions page.)
We offer a number of activities that will make your visit memorable:
Tastings: We currently offer self-guided tasting flights which include a tasting of 5 wines and a souvenir glass. Choose from red, white or mixed. Wines rotate throughout the year. We produce nearly 20 different wines so you are sure to find something to please almost any palette! (Check out our Awards page to see our recent awards.)
Seating: Our beautiful outdoor European courtyard with a fountain in the center offers plenty of space to enjoy a glass of wine with some cheeses and sausage from our gift shop. Or bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy! Our newest outdoor space, “The Bullpen” offers additional outdoor seating. In case of cold or rainy weather, we have seating available under covered outdoor areas or in our indoor Pavilion.
Museum: While you are here, be sure to visit our museum which features antique wine bottles, Native American artifacts and Chesapeake waterfowl decoys.
Gift Shop: Our extensive gift shop covers two rooms and has been described as “one of the nicest at a Virginia winery.” It features wine accessories, decorative gift items, Ingleside logo apparel, books, gourmet food items and more! You can also purchase gourmet cheeses and sausages to enjoy with a glass of wine in our courtyard.
Events: We host numerous wine events throughout the year, including a Summer Music Series. Tickets may be required for some events. Check our Events page for more info. And be sure to join our Email List and be among the first to hear about upcoming events.
Local Attractions: Our area offers a rich history, outdoor activities and beautiful scenery. Local historic attractions include George Washington’s Birthplace and Stratford Hall, home of the Lees of Virginia. We are also part of the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail which features a passport program – get your passport stamped at each winery to earn discounts! To learn more about these and other local attractions, please visit our Things to Do in The Area page.
